Dam-raised, but handled daily, she is exceptionally sweet, runs to you for attention, eats out of your hand, and will already stand on the milk stand for alfalfa.
Sire: 38" Dam: 42" Both parents reside on our farm, have excellent temperaments, are registered, and disease tested.
During winter months, all our cattle are supplemented with organic fermented grain (soy-free, limited corn, and not heavily fed). They thrive primarily on pasture and brome hay.
The dam is a first-time mama and our first family milk cow. We practice calf sharing and once-a-day (OAD) milking, currently getting 1–1.5 gallons per day while she still withholds milk for her calf. Her production potential is higher, but we have not pushed output as this amount meets our needs. She has been both machine- and hand-milked with no issues.
